A few upgrades were made that include a new 350 ohm line adjustment rheostat that is more precise that the original 200 ohm rheostat. A new solid state 83 and a NOS Sylvania JAN 5Y3 rectifiers were installed. A new low draw LED bulb replace the old incandescent pilot bulb. Replaced the AC cord with a grounded modern version, and replaced the plastic cover for the tube chart. The tube chart rolls nicely, but there is some tape on the paper in a few places, and cleaned and calibrated the meter to a perfect 280uA @ 645 ohms.
The 750 was made to replace the 539C & can measure Gm up to 30,000, and has voltage regulator and mA tests that both work perfect. Pictures show testing a 6L6 with a mutual conductance (Gm) of 5500 and tested perfect on this 750.
The sockets savers are included and locked down tight.
The DVD includes an owner's manual, 2 Schematics (one for each version), CA-4 & CA-5 Adapter Manuals and Settings, Domestic, Obsolete, European, Supplemental, Foreign, and the Western Electric Tube Data for the Hickok 750.
The case is solid, has some small knicks in the leatherette all over, and not the normal Hickok 750 case. This is a very late model, serial number starting with 206, and the space in the rear of the case, where tha AC cord would normally come out from, was eliminated and the cord now comes out of the top of the chassis. I have seen many Hickok 750s and this is the only one I have come across in this smaller style case.
